How it started.

Our company vemota began with our shared understanding of the role of technology in organizations: making a positive impact by simplifying processes. Our frustration: most technological tools only add complexity

We come from different backgrounds in technology, consultancy, and behavioral science. Again and again we observed a similar pattern: the technology was not solving the problem. No one is looking at the bigger picture and employees are not placed at the center of the process, where they belong. The organization is asked to adjust to the technology, instead of the other way around. The result: a patchwork of disconnected tools, and a lot of frustration.

So we started vemota. A practice small enough to provide personalized care and attention, and capable enough to build robust technical solutions when needed. No account manager, no handover to a junior team, and no off-the-shelf solutions.

We also build on European ground. Your data and systems stay in the EU, under European law, and not with a vendor across the ocean that can change the terms or your access from one day to the next. What has to last has to stay in your own hands.

The four values below were our first commitment to each other and our business. They guide every step or our process: from our initial conversation to long after delivery.

Our four values, up close.

Our ideology narrowed down to four key principles.

Impact

Every project starts with a concrete question: what difference are we going to make? Not as a rhetorical opener, but as a commitment. We forecast the potential impact before we start designing and we evaluate it afterwards.

This way we ensure that what we add value to your organization, rather than destroy it.

Durable

We build systems that can stand the test of time. This doesn't mean we build for the sake of longevity, but rather that we build with a long-term perspective.

Building durably means: as few dependencies as possible, documentation that holds up, and periodic check-ins to see what has changed.

Tailored

We do not start designing until we thoroughly understand your business. Not just the way it appears, but rather people move about your organization every day. It is the only way to build a solution that fits.

We assess your specific needs and challenges. Sometimes they can be met with off-the-shelf software. Other times, we need to build something from scratch.

Partnership

We care about people, more than we do technology. We work with you, not for you. We value relationships and we build together.

We aim to foster long-term partnerships and hope to gain your trust and confidence along the way. We wouldn't want to do anything that would jeopardize that trust and this is how we hold ourselves accountable.

The people behind vemota.

Our company consists of three equal partners. We work together to design and build the right solution for your organization.
